Helping people think clearly, communicate confidently, and lead through change.

Michael Cortes is a former U.S. Marine sergeant, longtime K–12 IT Director, professional speaker, husband, and dad of two daughters (his youngest has Williams Syndrome). For nearly three decades, he's lived at the intersection of: high-stakes communication, complex systems, and very human emotions. From the Marine Corps to public schools to family life, he's watched the same pattern repeat: Most conflict doesn’t come from malice. It comes from unspoken expectations and borrowed worries. Falling Pebbles Ltd is his way of putting those lessons into clear, usable publications and presentations anyone can carry into their next conversation, meeting, decision, or moment of doubt.

His specialties include computer networks, K-12 education, government reporting and auditing, public speaking, presentation coaching, persuasion techniques in public speaking, planning and budgeting, and the Pa Information Management System (PIMS). On three occasions, he has led his Toastmasters Clubs and Toastmasters Area to distinguished status, during his membership with Toastmasters International. As Technology Director for 29 years, he has expanded the use of technology from local computers numbering at 428 to an infrastructure that included a wide area network, over 1300 devices and universal access of the Internet.
